Introduction: This activity is designed to spend time as a family visiting a college campus to build relationships, inspire passion create interest in post-secondary education. This outing can be a great family experience and you will be able to see what peaks your child’s interest. Perhaps you already know a college your child is interested in and could help them visit that campus.
What you need:
- Transportation to a college campus
Instructions: Plan a family outing to visit a college campus. When you visit a college campus, many times there will be visitor centers or at least a guide to the campus. Many campuses will have historical buildings, academic centers, park areas and other fun things to see. Consider eating at their food court and checking out their athletic venues. If you find someone at an information desk, they may even have self-guided tour brochures.
If you do not have a college campus in accessible proximity, you could also consider taking a virtual tour.
